Pictures purportedly showing the innards of a new Xbox 360 model have emerged.

The images allegedly show a completely redesigned model that combines the console’s CPU and GPU in a single, small chip for the first time.

Their website of origin claims that testing of the new model was recently completed in China, according to Kotaku.

While the legitimacy of the pictures is in doubt, it brings to mind leaked Chinese PS3 Slim images that emerged last May, months before the new slimmed down model was officially announced.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer also recently spoke about the possibility of introducing new Xbox 360 “form factors”.

Microsoft told us it doesn't "comment on rumour and speculation".

wenn ich überlege wie laut die 1. generation ohne Hdmi ist und das es um einiges leiser mit dem hdmi geworden ist hofft man halt das es jetzt total leise wird. Vom design finde ich die alte schöner.

ps: hoffentlich kommt auch einen hack für die neue,hehe

ps3 60 gb ist aber auch ultra laut. Der aktuele Xbox360 hdmi jasper ist auch angenehmer.
